By The Fire

The brief for this project was to create an album cover for an existing artist, specifically using self-crafted materials to create the main typeface and photography to capture it.

For my concept I wanted to make a collaborative album with two of my favorite artists, The Backseat Lovers and Noah Kahan. Although from two different genres what ties the two together is an outdoorsy and authentic feel, like a summer fire pit with friends. The album cover and back were meant to mimic the warmth and gritty nature of a fire.

With the inclusion of photography from a real fire pit with friends on the inside cover and a farm scene shot in California on the lyrics sheet the final result gives of a genuine feel like the songs selected for the album.
